Commercial Swimming Club will be
a Swimming Australia Podium Performance Centre

We are pleased and excited to announce that from January 2014 Commercial Swimming Club will be a Swimming Australia Podium Performance Centre. Commercial was one of only 15 successful clubs chosen Australia wide to participate in the program. The goal of the Podium program is to provide the world’s best environment for the development and preparation of Australia’s best swimmers as they push for international podium success in Rio, Tokyo and beyond. Under the guidance of our High Performance Squad Coach Simon Cusack, the club’s participation in this program over the next three years will ensure that our athletes and coaches are fully supported in a high performance environment. The partnership with Swimming Australia will provide the investment to support the outstanding work already being done.

Our High Performance squad, boasting swimmers such as Cate and Bronte Campbell, Christian Sprenger and Tommaso D’Orsogna, provides wonderful role models and inspiration for our younger swimmers. A daily reminder of where their hard work and dedication might take them. Today’s announcement is also a great step for the club as a whole as it continues its journey of high performance.

Commercial Swimming Club will also participate in the Swimming Australia Go Club program from 2014. The Go Club program is designed to provide a clear pathway for our swimmers and coaches to reach their full potential. It also importantly focuses on the operation of the Club and development and promotion of Swimming. More details will follow as the Club aligns itself with Go Club requirements.

We would like to acknowledge incredible amount of work that both Simon Cusack and Malinda Denovan put into our club’s successful application and celebrate this tremendous outcome.

Welcome to Commercial Swimming Club

Welcome to Commercial Swimming Club. Welcome also to the new swimmers and their families who have joined us over the past few months. Our Club has a long and proud history and we hope you enjoy being a part of that tradition for many years to come. In our 110th season the committee is concentrating on developing our team's success, our team spirit and our teamwork. We need everyone's help to achieve this. The more swimmers and volunteers we have, the better our results can be. So don't be shy, send us an email or see us poolside and we will find you a job that fits your schedule and skills. On behalf of the Club I would also like to extend a very warm welcome to our new Head Coach, Simon Cusack. Simon joins us from the Indooroopilly Swimming Club where he coached many swimmers to National and Olympic level. Simon will be training the Club's High Performance Squad and mentoring our coaches. I'm sure you agree, it is an exciting time to be part of the Commercial Swimming Club!

See you poolside!
